Ole Miss Rebels head coach Mike Bianco is pleased with how his team is performing as of late. Now, they face a midweek road test at South Alabama.

Ole Miss baseball has gotten off to a strong start, and it is showing up in the rankings. Here's where the Rebels rank in the polls:

(WTVA) — Ole Miss and Mississippi State baseball swept their respective weekend series. The 14-1 Rebels beat Jacksonville State 7-4 on Friday, 12-4 on Saturday and 13-2 on Sunday. The 11-4 Bulldogs beat Queens 9-3 on Friday, 10-2 on Saturday and 9-3 on Sunday.

On opening weekend of SEC play, the Rebels host the Arkansas Razorbacks in one of the more entertaining SEC rivalries in recent history after multiple postseason matchups in the past. Dave Van Horn and Mike Bianco are two of the winningest coaches in SEC history and have had some memorable moments over the years.

Ole Miss opens league action this Friday at Swayze when the No. 3 Arkansas Razorbacks come to Oxford. But, first, they’ll travel to Mobile to take on South Alabama (9-6) on Tuesday, March 11. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. CT, and the game will be streamed on ESPN+.

It was another perfect week for Ole Miss baseball with a 4-0 record against Murray State and Jacksonville State moving the Rebels higher in the Baseball America and D1Baseball top 25 polls. Ole Miss (14-1) are currently on a 13-game winning streak ever since a 10-0 loss to top 25 Texas in the second game of the season.

The No. 17 Ole Miss Rebels secured a series win over the Jacksonville State Gamecocks with a 12-4 final score on Saturday at Swayze Field, and their quest to earn a weekend sweep will have an earlier start time than originally anticipated on Sunday.
