The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is one of the best camera phones, and rumor has it that the Galaxy S25 Edge may be following in its footsteps. Specifically the phone may come with a 200MP main camera lens, something that Samsung has only offered on a handful of phones.

This is no more apparent than Samsung’s recently announced Galaxy S25 Edge and Apple’s thin phone, which is rumored to launch later this year. These two OEMs have decided that thinness is enough of a distinction that it will be the focus of an entire phone in their lineup this year. However, I think this is a bad idea and here’s why.

Back at January’s Galaxy Unpacked event when Samsung unveiled its three Galaxy S25 smartphones, a fourth member of the family was teased. The long-rumored slim handset and rival to the upcoming iPhone 17 Air was officially branded the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge.
