The Kilauea volcano in the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park has erupted for the seventh time since December last year, spewing lava from the Halemaʻumaʻu pit crater. Spectacular timelapse footage from January 27 captured the lava flows spreading like a river delta on the crater floor.

The world’s most active volcano is at it again after Hawaii’s Kilauea began its seventh episode of its ongoing eruption, with video showing lava shooting more than 100 feet into the air.

The Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is home to the summits of two of the world’s most active volcanoes: Kilauea and Mauna Loa.

The Kilauea volcano at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is spewing lava once again, the seventh recorded episode in recent weeks. The eruption that began Dec. 23 in a crater at Kilauea’s summit has paused periodically.
