Houston Dynamo fans planning to attend Sunday's game against Inter Miami won't see their team face Argentinian star Lionel Messi. Because of his unavailability, they'll receive complementary tickets to another upcoming game.

Lionel Messi did not play in Inter Miami's last Major League Soccer (MLS) match as a precaution. The Argentine has no discomfort, but Tata Martino wanted to give his star a rest. H

There was no indication leading up to Sunday's game that Messi wouldn't travel to Texas with his Inter Miami teammates. But on Saturday, multiple reports indicated that the Argentine superstar stayed back in south Florida ahead of the match against the Dynamo at Shell Energy Stadium.
