The 'White Lotus' star plays a single mother whose attempt to get back into dating goes awry in Christopher Landon's feature, which also stars Brandon Sklenar.

With Landon’s visually striking Hitchcock-ian direction, screenwriters Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach provide a fun tech-driven update on the urban legend that spawned 1979’s When a Stranger Calls (and its fun 2006 remake) as the drops come from inside the house.

Meghann Fahy and Brandon Sklenar, stars of the new thriller (not horror, they say), “Drop” stopped by the L.A. Times studio at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival to talk about movie theatre pet peeves and weird photos they’ve received on their phones.
