With the Las Vegas Raiders trading for NFL journeyman QB Geno Smith, the likelihood of Shedeur Sanders being in Sin City was cut down drastically.

In his latest mock draft, Zierlein has Sanders going No. 29 overall to the Cleveland Browns, who Zierlein has trading up with the Commanders to get the QB. The Browns have the No. 2 overall pick, which many think is where they'll take Miami QB Cam Ward. Zierlein, however, has them taking Sanders's former teammate, Travis Hunter.

In a new mock draft, Fornelli has Sanders falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers with the No. 21 overall pick.

Some concerning reports have surfaced about Shedeur Sanders’ behavior during interviews at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis. The Colorado Buffaloes quarterback was rumored to have come across as “arrogant” and “brash” during a meeting with a team drafting inside the top seven in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Athletic’s Dane Brugler called Sanders, “A wild card in this draft.” Not a complete spin on the situation but would be interesting to see. Brugler highlighted the volatility in Sanders’ stock by saying he might "go in the top six or fall out of the first round entirely—and neither outcome would be a shock.”
