Every athlete dreams of leaving a lasting mark on the sport they love, and TCU guard Hailey Van Lith did just that in her final year of college ball. The talented Horned Frog played a pivotal role in TCU’s dominant season and made history by securing two of the conference’s most prestigious honors.

Hailey Van Lith is the first player in the league’s 29-season history to be picked the top player and top newcomer in the same season.

In her first year away from the LSU Tigers, Hailey Van Lith took over the Big 12 and led the TCU Horned Frogs to the No. 1 seed in the conference.

TCU’s defense was instrumental in the win, holding Baylor to just two points in the first five minutes of the fourth quarter. The Horned Frogs capitalized when Taylor Bigby and Agnes Emma-Nnopu hit back-to-back three-pointers, extending TCU’s lead to 44-36.

Hailey Van Lith has been named Big 12 Player of the Week after stellar performances in wins at Arizona State and hosting No. 17 West Virginia. The TCU guard began her week with a 82-66 road win in Tucson. Van Lith neared a triple-double with 10 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

After transferring to the TCU Horned Frogs for the 2024-25 campaign, Hailey Van Lith enjoyed an incredible season before she presumably attempts to make the jump to the WNBA. But first, she earned quite an honor from the Big 12 on Tuesday that saw her add another big accolade to her name.
