Five people, three adults and two juveniles, were arrested in the January gang-related assault and robbery of a mother and juvenile son, police said Friday.

Three adults, two minors were linked to a Jan. 18 assault that knocked out a teen boy near an East San Jose shopping plaza.

A mother and her son were shopping on Story Road in San Jose when they were robbed and assaulted by a group of suspected gang members, police said. The violent assault happened in broad daylight on January 18.

Police in southern India said Saturday that they arrested two men in connection with allegations of gang rape of an Israeli and a local woman. The Israeli and her homestay operator were stargazing along with three male travelers,

The two women were reportedly stargazing with three male tourists near a lake in Hampi, Karnataka, when they were attacked.
