2020年3月30日 · Hi WinoGunner,. Thank you for reaching out Microsoft Community. You can use either of the two. A mini-DP to HDMI adapter will do or a mini-DP cable to directly extend your Surface display to an external monitor as long as the DP at the back of this monitor is active.

It's just the one monitor I'm using, I've made sure the Pro is fully updated, I've unplugged and plugged the cable in both ends a number of times and I've tried adjusting the resolution as well and nothing seems to happen.

I have a Surface 2 Laptop which has only a Mini DisplayPort and USB-A port on the side. I would like to add two or three monitors for my WFH setup (the third can replace my laptop screen if needed). The monitors have HDMI and USB-C input ports, but they came with HDMI cables in the box so I'd prefer to use those to connect.
