The SEPTA subway–surface trolley lines are a collection of five SEPTA trolley lines that operate on street-level tracks in West Philadelphia and Delaware County, Pennsylvania, and also underneath Market Street in Philadelphia 's Center City. SEPTA is purchasing modern, fully ADA-compliant trolley vehicles to replace the Authority’s entire aging fleet of trolleys. New trolleys will be longer and have higher capacity to move more passengers.

To replace them SEPTA is purchasing a brand-new fleet of trolleys that are accessible to people with disabilities, carry more passengers, and allow for faster service. SEPTA is working with vehicle manufacturer Alstom to design and build new trolleys that will make the system accessible to riders with mobility challenges for the first time.
