2015年8月1日 · This was a helpful reply in general, very helpful for simplified Chinese pinyin input, but the question was actually to get a Traditional Chinese PINYIN input (I donwloaded the Taiwanese traditional mandarin, but it is a bopomofo keyboard, which I can't use)

2018年8月5日 · Under Languages, select Chinese (Simplified). If you have not installed it yet, click on Add a language and search for Chinese (Simplified). Click Options and choose Microsoft Pinyin under Keyboards. Click Options > Keys > Hot keys. Under the Simplified/Traditional Chinese input switch option, turn it On. Let me know how it goes.

In other words, I'd like to be able to: - type in Traditional Chinese, - type using pinyin, not Bopomofo, not Microsoft Quick, and - use the vertical window instead of the horizontal one.

2024年9月5日 · Before the latest windows update I could use pinyin to type traditional Chinese characters, but I got a new laptop and updated to windows 11, and I can't find the option under "add a keyboard" in the language options. I don't have the bopomofo keyboard memorized, so I can't just use that (my keyboard only has the English alphabet).

Settings > Time & Language > "Language" in the left menu > click the Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan) language then click " Options" > "Under Keyboards", click "Microsoft Bopomofo" then "Options" > click "Key assignment" > Under "Keyboard Layout" you can select HanYu Pinyin.
