2022年9月1日 · People keep trying to tell me how unreible the 2.6 turbo was over here (im form the US )but i happen to like the Starion . Remember it did take the late Pennti Arikkla to 2 wins in the 1988 Shell Oils British Open Rally Championship I think the world needs to respect the Starion more im curious to see what other people think of it

2020年4月4日 · I had an idea for a new Starion. Doesn’t look like anyone is in the financial straits to do it now, though. Can’t remember if it’s still on, but there was some potential for Mitsubishi to work with Renault/Nissan. I just figured you could take the Z and give it a funky reskin with big fenders. Then use a turbo 4cyl, maybe a 2L.

2020年4月3日 · The Starion had a lovely melodious voice, not a vocorder one. If I recall from when I was reading up on it, it was actually on a vinyl cylinder. I managed to find a video of a Japanese one speaking in Japanese at one point, but not an English-speaking one.

2023年1月3日 · The Conquest/Starion was.built on the old Mitsubishi Lancer rear-wheel dr platform. I don't remember if there is any commonality in the engines between the two lines. Reply reply

2024年6月22日 · Thought I would share my 86’ Starion! I also have an 85.5 I am turning into a beginner drift car!! Might post progress of her soon :) The 85.5 has been a headache but I think she’ll be good to go by December! I have a 240sx rack and pinion for it and I’m planning on it being a lowkey learning car :)

2020年7月1日 · Probably scraped, it's an 80s Mitsubishi, given Seinfeld was filmed on a stage it was a prop car that over time got less uses because it's outdated and then went sent to the junkyard. Reply

2021年11月13日 · It's worth noting that it only took place after Chrysler purchased 15% stake of Mitsubishi in 1970, and began selling Mitsubishi's in North America branded as Chryslers. Alongside the starion, a sister car was made called the Chrysler Conquest, which I've had the pleasure of driving on several occasions.

In the 80s they started a joint venture called diamond star motors. At that time Chrystal wasn't doing too well and they used Mitsubishi's cars to boost their sales. Mitsubishi ended up buying Chrysler out in the 90s and renaming DSM to Mitsubishi motor manufacturing America, which now is the American branch of Mitsubishi.

Stock Delorean does 0-60 in 10.5 seconds compared to the Starion at 7.5 seconds. Although this isn’t fast, it’s 30% faster 0-60. As a matter of fact, at a 1/4 mile a stock Starion is doing 91mph whereas the Delorean isn’t even going over 80mph yet.
