2022年7月1日 · Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station (PLNGS) currently holds a 10-year operating licence, which expires June 30, 2032. New Brunswick Power Corporation (NB Power) owns and operates PLNGS, which is located on the shores of the Bay of Fundy, approximately 40 km southwest of Saint John, New Brunswick.

This nuclear power plant is located at Point Lepreau on the Bay of Fundy, a half-hour’s drive from Saint John, New Brunswick. The Point Lepreau Generating Station was declared commercially operational in November 2012 after undergoing a major overhaul.

2024年8月20日 · Point Lepreau, which went online in the 1980s, is one of four nuclear power stations in Canada and the only one outside of Ontario. Consisting of a heavy-water CANDU reactor that generates power, it received a decade-long operation extension from the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission in 2022.
