2016年12月18日 · I have never had the long spine urchins. I have a Tuxedo, a Halloween, and a Rock urchin. My tank is spotless with regards to algae. My fuge is a complete mess with algae. I will never have a reef tank w/o an urchin for clean up crew. They are far superior to any other critter for algae cleanup. And yes, I have lots of coralline in my tank.

2021年12月1日 · Grab a small container of freshwater dechlorinated and same temp as tank water - remove urchin and hermit and place in container. Urchin fairly quickly will release hermis. Place back in tank.

They said that they could help me set up a tank, but it would cost, at minimum, $300-400. I can’t spend that much, at least not right now. 2014年5月29日 · I love my "decorator urchin" (I have heard it called so many vairations of names - basically a solid-colored halloween urchin) but it gets its name for a distinct reason. As it wanders the tank, doing its awesome cleaning job, it collects shells, algae, occasional polyps, sand and almost anything to add to its collection of decorations.
