I wanted to do a post about Luke - who he is, what he’s all about, who you all are fighting to help. I came across this video in my album and this summed it all up in one video. He’s this gentle, kind, loving, soul. His sister idolizes him. You can see in her face how safe she feels hopping on her big brothers back. This just says it all who this kid is. That’s right - $10k raised from a lemonade stand. It shows you what the power of good can do. Remembering these moments along our long journey keep us motivated everyday. It’s my true privilege to welcome Don and his wife Vanessa to the A Race Against Blindness family. For the last 20 months we have operated as a nimble family-run nonprofit, laser focused on funding this clinical trial for RP/BBS1 that could save our son’s eyesight and all the kids like him. Our mission won’t stop there. Thanks to the support of ALL of YOU, we realized our mission is bigger than this one trial and cure. It’s to fight for all those affected by pediatric inherited retinal diseases.
