Some of our nonreleasable Eastern Box Turtles enjoying a spaghetti 🍝(umm I mean 🪱 worm) dinner. At this time of the year turtles in Kentucky are eating a lot more because they are fixing to brumate (hibernate) for the entire winter and they need enough fat storage to be able to survive the long cold winter so I make sure they get lots of different kinds of food such as vegetables, some fruit, proteins, carbohydrates and worms that they love 💗. All of our turtles brumate in their outdoor habit
