They look like upright pine cones 🤩! The appropriately named ground cones, are a group of parasitic plants that get their nutrients from other plants. The species in this video is small groundcone or Vancouver groundcone (Kopsiopsis hookeri). They have purple or yellow flowers which fade to brown as the plant goes to seed.
